Paradise At Night - Spend Earth Hour gazing at the stars with family and friends

When's the last time you stopped and looked at the sky? Can you name the constellations? What if you turned off the lights on March 28th and spent that hour with your kids, your friends, your neighbors, looking for the Big Dipper and Orion?

Turn off the lights, download a map of the solar system, dust off that telescope and look at the sky from 8:30 to 9:30 on March 28th! Show your kids, invite your friends, have a block party that raises awareness for climate change while reminding us to take time out to enjoy our beautiful world!

Pylons at LAX to go dark for Earth Hour

If any of you have ever been to the Los Angeles International Airport in the evening, you will have surely seen the multitude of three story neon pylons illuminating the terminal entrance. Airport officials have committed to powering down the pylons from 8:30 to 9:30pm on March 28th and multiple airlines have signed on the dim the lights wherever it's safe to do so. Nice work for one of the busiest airports in America!

Bill Clinton introduced to Earth Hour

At Los Angeles City Hall on February 16, 2009, Thomas Feegel pauses for a photograph with Bill Clinton, after presenting the former President with the World Wildlife Fund Earth Hour DVD, explaining the significance of the 2009 Earth Hour Global Campaign and the particular importance to the citizens of Los Angeles, CA. (Tom's son, Luke, Age 5, was a little less interested in the Secret Service.)
